Loprest, a division of WRT was originally established in 1928 in San Francisco, California as Loprest Water Treatment Company. In the 1950s and 60s, Loprest evolved into a regional provider of groundwater treatment solutions for the municipal water treatment market, which has been the focus of their business ever since. With thousands of installations throughout California and the world, Loprest has provided reliable, durable and cost-effective water treatment solutions for over ninety years.

From conceptual design to system fabrication, installation and start-up, Loprest offers engineering and service expertise throughout the project life. Customer commitment continues after the sale of capital equipment with on-going operator training and system support. Upgrades are presented to Loprest customers as technology changes and regulatory requirements evolve.

In 2018, Loprest became a division of Water Remediation Technology LLC (WRT), headquartered in Westminster, Colorado. WRT provides cost-efficient water treatment processes and proprietary treatment media for the removal of radium, uranium and other select contaminants from drinking water.

The combined resources of the two companies will allow for the growth and customer support of Loprest products on a national basis. WRT maintains full-time field service technicians in four US locations (New Jersey/New York, Illinois, Texas and California) to handle emergency and routine system advice.
